I’m nervous to be typing right now because I know I skipped last week and I just started this newsletter a month ago, but now you know I ain’t shit.
I feel like everyone in my circle had a pretty bad week, so I don’t know what’s going on with the planets lately because I am going THROUGH it. For one, I’m in a creative rut, which is quite possibly the worst timing since I just started a gig at Resident Advisor where I freelance 3 days a week. (Kind of ironic since whenever I pitch this newsletter to people, I’m like it’s kind of like how RA has their RA picks but it’s just me lmao). My imposter syndrome is actually debilitating since I’ve always wanted to be just a writer but now that I am I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing.
Back to what I’m hype for this week, I’m really on my dance music shit. It’s all I’ve been listening to, all the events I’ve been going to, and all I’m even excited to write about, so this week’s party picks reflect that.
If you have any rap recommendations, feel free to send them to me though.
Also, stream some De La Soul and Bobby Caldwell today.

I’ll always put DJ Seinfeld’s events in this newsletter because he’s one of the sweetest people I’ve met, so I might be biased when I say it’s definitely well-deserved that tickets to his Public Records mini-residency keep selling out. Contrasting his airy soundscapes, he’s joined by Tony y Not, who spins the darker side of house music.
